I have hoped to make this contact for over 30 years. The \nfact that it happened is thanks to Oscar 7 and Ted, RN1NW was 559 even as \nao7 approached his horizon. The satellite was ascending at my qth and at \nabout 3 degrees at the end of our qso. The QSO took place on orbit #60960 at \n16:08Z. I had heard RN1NW a couple of days prior but didn't make the \ncontact. Because of ao7's history and bright future, I think any contact on \nthis satellite is a record. Thanks again to RN1NW.\n\n73\nWC7V\nKerry\n\n--------------------------------------------------\nFrom: \"Pierre van Deventer\" <[email protected]>\nSent: Saturday, January 16, 2010 11:01 PM\nTo: \"'Bob- W7LRD'\" <[email protected]>\nCc: <[email protected]>\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: AO-7 feat!\n\n> Congratulations to Kerry WC7V and Fedor RN1NW for their QSO of 7,654 km \n> according to Tiny Locator.\n>\n> Hope to hear more details of the QSO, was it with CW or SSB?\n>\n> It would be nice to listen to the MP3 audio clip if there is one made.\n>\n> 73, Pierre ZS6BB\n>\n>\n> -----Original Message-----\n> From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On \n> Behalf Of Bob- W7LRD\n> Sent: 16 January 2010 21:40\n> To: [email protected]\n> Subject: [amsat-bb] AO-7 feat!\n>\n> To break away from the current irrelevant thread.
