"content": "Peter,\n\nWhen you made 2 contact already you did Perfect. With a capital P.\n\nPeople will respond with how to handle doppler, but reality is that it can be difficult, even when you have an automated setup.\n\nKeep going, you're doing just fine!\nHenk, PA3GUO\n-----------------------------------------------------\n\nHi all,\n\nI have just tried working through AO73, with limited success. I need some\nvery basic help with satellite operation.\n\nI have an IC-9100, I set the uplink and downlink to mid-range (435.140Mhz\nand 145.960Mhz), then call CQ until I hear my own signal\n\nwhich has worked every time, then I get problems.\n\nWhen someone calls me back I panic, what do I do when the doppler kicks in,\ndo I move both TX and Rx, or do I just move my Rx to follow the other guy.\n\nI haven't managed to get SatPC32 controlling my rig yet, also, I want to\nlearn the hard way - manually.\n\nCan someone point me to an article that explains in detail how to operate.\n\nI know this is a very basic question, but we all have to start somewhere. I\nhave managed tow contacts so far. First was AO73 and tonight with FO29.\n\nNot sure how I did it, but thanks to ON5NY and EM5SR.\n\nHappy New Year\n\nPeter\n\nG8KEK\n\n",
