    "content": "Personally, and with all due respect, I think that even suggesting the use\n\nof any single or dual channel voice satellite during FD is fundamentally \nflawed, on\n\nequal status with suggesting next year FD be held on 60M alone.\n\n\n\nYou can put a glass of water on a table in front of 5 people, and they know \nthere\n\nis a reasonable expectation they will get a sip, and act accordingly to each \nother.\n\n\n\nPut the same glass in front of 100, and they know there is reasonable \nexpectation\n\nthey will not, and their management of the situation will change \naccordingly. Regardless\n\nof the \"rules\".\n\n\n\nI acknowledge the importance of a satellite presence during FD, but I \nquestion the benefit to\n\nAMSAT and to the rest of the satellite community by openly advertising and \noffering\n\n\"100 people a sip from a glass of water\", and letting the rest of the ham \ncommunity at\n\nFD watch what ensues. Think for a moment....  what did the non-satellite ops \nat\n\nyour site think?\n\n\n\nDoes anyone really believe that a tweak or a clarification of the rules will \nimprove\n\nthe situation next year?\n\n\n\nBill W1PA\n\n\n\n(whose last satellite FD was on AO40; patiently waiting for the next HEO \nbird)\n\n\n\n\n\n",
