They're crowded \nenough during \"normal\" times, and a complete ZOO on Field Day. The only \ntime I try and work an FM bird on Field Day is when they're way to the \nWest, with most of the footprint over the Pacific. I get my one FM \ncontact, and then back to the linear birds.\n\n\nI don't think putting an official mega-station on an FM bird to dole out \ncontacts would work. You'd still have insane uplink contention, and \npeople calling, calling, calling anyway. Perhaps the only way to kill \nthe crud on Field Day is drop the 100 point bonus entirely, and just let \nsatellite contacts count as regular contacts as we're discussing.\n\n\nI agree 100% that each bird should count as a separate \"band\", along \nwith allowing different modes on each bird to be counted as separate \ncontacts, just like they are on HF.\n\n\nSSB, CW, and digital should get you three points per bird, just like it \ndoes on 20 Meters.\n\n\nBut then who are we to suggest the league change their rules......\n\n\nOh, well....\n\n\n73, Jim\n\n\nOn 06/23/2017 11:52 PM, Gary Mayfield wrote:\n> Jeff,\n> I for one agree.
