The \nregistry, on windows, contains the specification of how to \"run\" .jar files.\n\nThe registry key, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\Applications\\java.exe\\shell\\open\\command is \nwhere to look. The default entry, can be edited to put the string \"-jar\" \nbetween the path the the java.exe executable and the \"%1\" argument specifier.\n\nWith Java 7, I have\n\n\"C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.7.0_02\\bin\\java.exe\" -jar \"%1\"\n\nas the value in mine.
