After installation, changed advanced properties to \"Run as Administrator.\"\nSwitched back to user, and everything works.\nOne quibble: every time I start up Nova as a user, I get the Windows 10 \"Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?\" window.
