I have never seen Bob get emotional (in the time\nI have been on the list), even when others are attacking him.\n\nIn all fairness, when I got started in APRS, I made some really bad\nscrew-ups that would have gotten badly flamed by some, but Bob took the time\nto politely inform me of my mistakes.\nBob can be biased at times, but so are most of us (at times). But what he\nhas contributed to OUR hobby has been enormous, and I think he deserves\ncredit for his contributions.\n\n \n\n \n\nScott Gillis N3UJJ \n <http://n3ujj.com/hamshack.html> My Hamshack\n <http://location.n3ujj.com/> My Current Location\n <http://weather.n3ujj.com/> My Amateur Weather Station\n\n \n\nMost folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.\n~Abraham Lincoln~\n\n \n\n \n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Thomas McGrane\nSent: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 09:36\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] the tyranny of the military\n\n \n\nGreetings from Patrick N2OEQ\n\n \n\nRegarding bruninga's post suggesting even more control over the \n\nsatellite.... Bruninga and the military has too much control over the \n\nspace program and amsat satellites.\n\n \n\nLook what happened to the space station, years of military devised \n\npacket position reporting and very little \"human\" contact.\n\n \n\nI recommend you all think for yourselves and remember, this is AMATEUR \n\nradio, NOT PROFESSIONAL.\n\n \n\nRegarding activity on oscar 51, its great to hear the excitment of new \n\noperators but very disappointing to hear so many regulars almost every \n\nday. Give some new people a chance.\n\n \n\nBruninga reminds me of the movie title, \"the world is not enough\"\n\n \n\nThink for yourselves!\n\n \n\npat\n\n \n\n \n\n_______________________________________________\n\nSent via [email protected].
