Some of the passes just barely cleared the horizon but I had no trouble with the Arrow antenna and Icom w32.\nI think you know that Tad, NH7YS is now covering BL01/BL02 now.\n\nI have QSL's available for those who worked me at BL01/BL02 and BK28\n\n73, Ron\n ----- Original Message ----- \n From: Robert Smith<mailto:[email protected]> \n To: Amsat-Bb@Amsat. Yesterday, I was able\n to work the easterly pass (from Honolulu) of\n AO-51 around 0206Z. The maximum elevation\n was 1.3 degrees. Using my VX-7R and \n Arrow antenna I was able to hold the satellite\n for three minutes and eighteen seconds out\n of a possible four minutes and fifty seconds\n of available footprint. I was at the ocean's \n edge with no obstacles blocking AOS/LOS. \n During the +three minute period I was able to\n work or hear the following stations:\n\n W6ZKH\n K6CDW\n WB6QKO\n KG6NUB\n VA7VW\n\n I have concluded that most of the above \n QSOs occurred with AO-51 at 1.2 degs. \n elevation. Many thanks and much \n appreciation to the above stations. Should u\n wish a copy of the pass, I have a .mp3 \n available (unfortunately my xmits are not \n heard due to the \"simplexity\" of the VX-7R.\n Conclusion: The Arrow works great!\n\n 73 de NH7WN\n robert in Honolulu\n _______________________________________________\n Sent via [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
