I usually avoid the sometimes random chaos of the FM birds and would hate to see ya do that and then catch a bad couple of passes, as they sometimes tend to be.\nI've got a Field Day 847 I'd be happy to put in a box and send out there if you wanted a loaner to do a little rover action and go when you could line up everyone that wanted DE on FM or SSB. It's a little rocky on mode J at over a few watts out, at least with my close spaced attic antennas, but fine on all the other linears and FM birds. I'm certainly in no hurry, my Hawaii QSO was on AO10 in 1995, and the first KL7 was a 21/29 mhz QSO on RS12 in 94.
