"content": "Hi Joe!\n\n> How did you manage doppler shift between the FT-817ND and TH-F6A?\n\nCarefully, and with a lot of practice. ;-)\n\nSince I'm not running computer control, I try to keep to the \"One True\nRule\", and make any changes to the higher frequency. For VO-52\n(and also AO-7), that would be the transmit frequency. Sometimes I\nam adjusting both the transmit and receive frequencies, to keep up\nwith whatever the other station is doing. Once you get the hang of\nfinding yourself on the transponder and then keeping your signals\nin your own receiver, it is easier to track what other stations are\ndoing.\n\nI have posted another video from a VO-52 pass this evening around\n0201 UTC, using the same FT-817ND/TH-F6A combination I had in\nthe video this morning. That video is now available at:\n\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiTO8pv1M1k\n\nI worked 3 stations on this later pass, but two of the three reported\nQRM on their end. All sounded fine at my station. I also tried the\n0335 UTC pass for the western USA, but only talked to myself for\n10 minutes. I won't worry about posting any video or audio from\nthat pass, but it was a good pass for me to play around with lower\npower levels near the midpoint. At 500mW, I could still hear\nmyself clearly. And no preamps.\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\n",
