"content": "Hi!\n\nThe W7O activity wrapped up on Monday afternoon. Thanks\nto the 24 operators who put W7O on the air, on HF and\nthe satellites, from locations all over the continental\nUSA. These operators logged almost 2500 QSOs as W7O on\nseveral HF bands, all of our current amateur satellites\nsupporting voice and CW (AO-7, AO-73, FO-29, SO-50), and\neven one QSO using the ISS packet/APRS digipeater.\n\nI am in the process of designing the W7O QSL card. It\nwill be a folding card. If you have sent me a QSL\nrequest, or are preparing to send me a QSL request,\nplease be patient. I have received a few dozen QSL\nrequests in the mailbox so far. Logbook of the World\nis reporting 781 W7O QSOs have been confirmed in that\nsystem.\n\nIt has been fun to hear people talking about the oldest\namateur satellite still in operation. Some of W7O's HF\noperators were active on AO-7 in the 1970s, and at\nleast one had worked W7O before e-mailing me to be a\nW7O operator.\n\nSome of the W7O operators may have only worked one\nsatellite pass, or an hour or two on HF. Others were\non the air as W7O for every day in the 10-day period.\nA couple operators worked both HF and satellites as\nW7O. No matter how many or how few QSOs were logged,\nI appreciate the work of everyone who took time to be\non the air as W7O.\n\nHappy Thanksgiving, and 73!\n\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\n",
