I run SATPC on a TS2K and TS2Kx on different PCs at separate locations.. Using FTDI chipped serial adaptors and set up more or less as described by Erich, it has been flawless from day one using slow and fast PCs, XP and W7 pro.\r\n\r\nLet us know your progress. The TS-2000 requires hardware handshaking. \r\nSetting the RTS pin high simulates that (5 V of the USB-to-Serial converters are sufficient.\r\nThe PC can't be too fast for the software because of the fix baudrate.\r\n\r\n73s, Erich, DK1TB\r\n\r\nAm 01.01.2019 um 02:24 schrieb James McIrvin:\r\n> I would like to find out which unit has a better tracking for doppler \r\n> and general connectivity over all.\r\n> I have been fighting with this TS 2000 keeping my connection with the \r\n> pc going.\r\n> I am about ready to deep six this thing.\r\n> I have gone to a true IO card for the serial connection, Not a USB \r\n> converter, changed the speeds to match in the settings in both radio \r\n> and pc. tried different ports and things like that and at times it \r\n> will track fair and then other times it does not do anything.\r\n> I have restarted the pc and the radios, shut them both off and then \r\n> restarted and still, I am having issues.\r\n> I would like to have a rig that is going to work with Satpc32 in a \r\n> reasonable fashion.\r\n> Just keeping this thing working is taking the fun out of trying to get \r\n> on with the birds and ready to change if it is going to work better.\r\n> However, I am looking at general input from those that have used these \r\n> rigs and if they have had good luck with them or if I am asking for \r\n> something out in left field.\r\n>\r\n> Thank you.\r\n>\r\n> Jim\r\n> _______________________________________________\r\n> Sent [email protected].
