It is a shame about the 2000, it is a\nmuch better HF TXR then the 847, but the birdie at 145800 is the satellite\nuse show stopper. I have all three here in the shack, and a blackbox 2000 as\nmy HF mobile. The only one I purchased new was the 847 in 1998 or so. The\n910, and 2000's were picked up used at a very good price, the good deals are\nthere if your patient. I would recommend a used 847 over the 2000. The\nmoney saved over a new TS-2000 purchase can be used to buy a better HF\nperforming rig then the 2000. My 2 cents.\n\n \n\n73 Jeff kb2m\n\n \n\n \n\nFrom: myles landstein [mailto:[email protected]] \nSent: Friday, July 17, 2009 8:22 AM\nTo: Jeff KB2M\nCc: [email protected]\nSubject: Re: [amsat-bb] Re: IF you had a choice...\n\n \n\nhonestly don't recall, I bought my ts2000x about 3yrs ago now. At\nthat time I wrestled between the TS and the IC910h\n\n \n\nAt that time I just googled both, saw a few comments regarding a\nbirdie for each and ended up w/the TS2000x because I figured HF would\nbe a added bonus along w/sky command as I live near a few schools and\nwanted to do some demo's\n\n \n\n \n\nIs the IC910 'birdie free' , with respect to satellites? Perhaps I\nwas incorrect\n\n \n\n If so maybe it's time to try one :)\n\n \n\n \n\nthanks\n\n \n\nOn Jul 17, 2009, at 7:38 AM, Jeff KB2M wrote:\n\n\n\n\n\nI wasn't aware of any birdies(in the sat or ssb frequencies) in the IC-910.\nWhere does the 910 have the birdie?\n\n73 Jeff kb2m\n\n\n\n \n\n",
