    "content": "Hello All,\n\nI think I made a big damage.\n\nI own a Yaesu G-5500 Azimuth/Elevation Rotators.\n\nBehind the control box I put a rectangular male and female socket on both\nazimuth and elevation so I can disconnect\n\nthe control box when I have to intervene in the shack.\n\nToday I had to intervene in the shack so I had to disconnect the control\nbox. At the end of the operation I reconnected \n\nthe control box, but while I was about to work a satellite, I noticed that\nthe elevation side had stopped at around 15 degrees \n\nwhile the satellite was at 60 degrees. I checked the connections and noticed\nthat I absentmindedly put the elevation side connectors backwards,\n\nthat is, instead of having:\n\n \n\nCONTROL BOX PINS          MOTOR PINS\n\n1.                                                            1\n\n2.                                                            2\n\n3.                                                            3\n\n4.                                                            4\n\n5.                                                            5\n\n6.                                                            6\n\n \n\n \n\nI had:\n\n \n\n \n\nCONTROL BOX PINS          MOTOR PINS\n\n1.                                                            4\n\n2.                                                            5\n\n3.                                                            6\n\n4.                                                            1\n\n5.                                                            2\n\n6.                                                            3\n\n \n\n \n\nI have replaced the Elevation connectors to the correct position but now I\nam noticing that\n\nWhen I press the UP button on the control box, the Motor does not move but\nafter about \n\n1 second I see the Elevation needle in the control box meter that from 0\ndegrees, hits full scale beyond 180 degrees.\n\nStaying in this position if I press the DOWN button on the control box, the\nMotor does not move but after about \n\n1 second I see the Elevation needle in the control box meter that from 180\ndegrees going back to 0 degrees.\n\nPlease anybody can tell me if the problem belongs from the motor or from the\ncontrol box and how to solve it?\n\nAny help will be really appreciated.\n\nThanks in advance\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n73 de Enzo IK8OZV\nEasyLog 5 BetaTester\nEasyLog PDA BetaTester\nWinBollet BetaTester\nD.C.I.
