"content": "Bob\n\nWhich rotator controller are you using with your 5500 ?\nDid you configure your Rotator to be 450deg in SATPC32 ?\n\nSome controllers like EA4TX have the smarts to utilize 450 deg even if your\nsoftware is configured for 360 For example if your rotator is sitting at 350\ndegs and you tell it to go to 45 degs, it goes to 360+45 405 deg 'cause it's\ncloser.\nSATPC32 software itself may do that also if configured for a 450 deg\nrotator. I'll test to see what it does. I've got a G-5500 setup.\n\nIf your park position is set for 90 degs, you might try making it 91 degs\n(451 degs).\n\nDave W0DHB\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Bob- W7LRD\nSent: Saturday, January 05, 2013 3:05 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] G-5500 question\n\nThe 5500 goes up to 450 degrees in az. I use satpc-32, every once in awhile\nfor no \"forseeable \" reason the rotor will park at 450 degrees. This is not\nwhat it is set for. It is a bit concerning as the coax is not the right\nlength for that much rotation and it puts a strain on things. Any ideas?? \n73 Bob W7LRD \n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected]. Opinions expressed are those of the author.\nNot an AMSAT-NA member?
