    "content": "A few more pointers:\n\n    * Use headphones or an ear-piece,\n    * make sure the radio is in \"semi-duplex\",\n    * leave the main band as the transmit frequency and adjust the other\n      band for doppler (don't worry about only tuning the higher\n      frequency just tune the receive side),\n    * make sure the volume and/or squelch is OFF on the main band -\n    * work SO-50 before you try AO-51 but don't forget you need a tone\n      on the TX side for SO-50\n    * Unless you have a non-US version of the W32A, its should work fine\n      without any mods\n\nIt really is very easy, SO-50 is accessible on the 0.5w setting on a \ngood pass, keep trying and good luck and post questions if you have any. \nI am sure we all look forward to working you!\n\n73\n\nDavid\nKG4ZLB/M0ZLB\nwww.kg4zlb.com\n\n\n\nCharlie Schlieper wrote:\n> A few notes on the IC-W32A Handy Talkie for satellite work.\n>\n> I had to \"open up\" or extend the frequency range of this HT before I could \n> attempt to work satellites.
