Pictures are available at the URL \nunder each item. Contact\nme directly (not via the BB) at k0kn at amsat dot org.\n\n* California Amplifier brand, model # 130003, consists of a downconverter\nand integrated linear patch antenna. Can be mounted for either vertical\nor horizontal polarization. Includes screw-on set of disc director elements.\n144 MHz IF (2400 MHz = 143.55 MHz). $45 + s&h\nhttp://www.qsl.net/k0kn/130003.jpg\n\n* Same as above, but with 122 MHz IF instead (2400 MHz = 122.019 MHz)\n$35 + s&h\nhttp://www.qsl.net/k0kn/130003.jpg\n\nThese converters are capable of hearing AO-51, and can even be used as a \nmakeshift dish feed. I worked\nAO-40 this way for a time! These should attach fairly easily to an Arrow \ntype antenna for mode V/s on\nAO-51.\n\nI also have two Cal Amp 31732 \"dead ducks\" that did work at one point in the \nAO-40 days, but have since\nstopped working. Can be used for parts, a signal source, or worst case, a \nweatherproof enclosure with\none N female connector, and two F female connectors. Paint peeling on one \nlid. $5 each\nhttp://www.qsl.net/k0kn/31732.jpg\n\nI had planned to follow the lead of GM1SXX, but have not yet found time to \nconvert these ducks. See his article:\n\"Project Duckling - or - Uses for Dead Drakes,\" The AMSAT Journal, May/Jun \n2001, pp. 8-9.\n\n73,\n\nKyle Yoksh\nK0KN\nOlathe, Kansas\n\n", "attachments": [] }
