    "content": "Hi Doug!\n\nI don't use VOX in the recorder. I make sure the recorder's\nclock is accurate, and know the start time of the recording.\nThen I record the entire pass. With passes at 10 to 20\nminutes each, and not using the highest quality recording\nsetting on my recorder, I don't worry about running out of\nmemory on the recorder. This lets me be reasonably\naccurate in the time I use for each QSO.\n\nSome may just log QSOs using the start or end time\nof the pass. I would rather have the correct time for each QSO\nin my log, so I don't use this approach.\n\nAnd I still have a lot of MP3s over the past 10 years at home,\nfrom many different satellites.
