"content": "Well I got on AO-51 this morning and worked WO3T for my first ever\n1200 mhz contact. The local retired GE wizard built up a 1268.7\ntransmitter using a master II and a signal generator for the reference\nsignal. The antenna is a loop yagi with about 10 loops. The feed is a\npiece of LDF4. I mounted it on my field day antenna setup which I have\nout in the yard for testing and pointed with the 5400 rotor. Uni-trac\nran the downlink radio on 435 and displayed the 1268.7 doppler so I\nknew were to tune the signal generator. Since the pass was about 74\ndegrees at overhead the signals were very strong.\n\nAll this said...I guess 1200 might be fun after all. Sure got me and\nthe Wizard fired up. Hope everyone else has fun with it too.\n\n73's <<John\n\n-- \nN4QWF Amateur Radio Operator\nAO-7,AO-27,SO-50,AO-51,VO-52\nInternet [email protected]\nFormerly KC4AHW VK3FEZ\nAmsat Member #27845\nDXCC #33,478\nVUCC SAT #135\nWAS SAT #296\n51 on 51 #13\nLON -79.25 LAT 37.45 Grid FM07\n>From the Foothills of the Blueridge\n",
