"content": "Hello Rizwan,\n\nPierros from SatNOGS here.\n\nWe have been closely following the launch and CAPE-3 as well.\nIn our SatNOGS DB there seem to be already submitted packets from CAPE-3\nhttps://db.satnogs.org/satellite/99757#data . Can you check them and let us\nknow of their validity?\nAlso the SatNOGS Network is observing CAPE-3 a lot\nhttps://network.satnogs.org/observations/?future=0&norad=99757&observer=&station=&start=&end=\nwithout any demodulations though yet. (mainly due to low SNR from what we\ncan see)\nCan you please also share your encoding scheme so we can decode the\npackets? Excuse me if it is already shared and we missed it.\n\nAlso, since launch we have been monitoring the TLEs published by the 18th\nand how they fit the various transmissions we receive (using strf). I can\nnow positively say that CAPE-3 is 47309 without a doubt. See here\nhttps://imgur.com/a/AX3kqB0 images on our fits and the comparative of the\nvarious curves vs observed. I will let the 18th know too.\n\nFinally feel free to drop by\nhttps://app.element.io/?#/room/#satnogs:matrix.org where we discuss all\nthings Satnogs and observations related, and let the team know that we can\nsupport on telemetry RX and dashboard creation for the mission, like we\nhave done for dozen other missions.\n\nCheers!\n\n~pierros\n\nOn Tue, Jan 19, 2021 at 6:03 AM Rizwan Merchant <[email protected]>\nwrote:\n\n> Hello all,\n>\n> I am one of the industry mentors and former students from the University\n> of Louisiana at Lafayette. I wanted to draft up this quick email with a few\n> things that might have been overlooked in the excitement of the last 24\n> hours.\n>\n> We've identified an issue with IARU listings of our frequencies. The\n> listings contained a typo with regards to our UHF Radio. The below\n> information is our satellite's configurations:\n>\n> *UHF*:\n> *Frequecy: *437.325 (originally published as 435.325)\n> *Modulation and Baud Rates*: FSK 1200, 9600, and FM 1200 (AX.25)\n>\n> *VHF*:\n> *Frequecy: *145.825\n> *Modulation and Baud Rates*: FSK 1200, 9600, and FM 1200 (AX.25)\n>\n> We have beacons transmitted every 15 seconds, and the beacons will\n> alternate configuration, meaning we'll transmit:\n>\n> Time 0s: UHF FSK 1200\n> Time 15s: UHF FSK 9600\n> Time 30s: UHF FM 1200\n>\n>\n> As of right now it is our belief the satellite is only transmitting on\n> only the UHF. However we do not know for certain.\n>\n> We have heard a few passes throughout the day from Lafayette, LA, and\n> heard our UHF beacons transmitting, however we have not been able to decode\n> yet, which brings me to my request:\n>\n> Using the above information, if any one copies a packet from CAPE-3,\n> please try to capture the hex string of our data and email it to me. We are\n> looking to figure out the status of our satellite's health since launch.\n>\n> Thanks so much for everyone's support, and assistance, we really\n> appreciate it.\n>\n> 73\n>\n> Sincerely,\n> Rizwan Merchant\n> KF5BNL\n>\n> -----------------------------------------------------------\n>\n> Sent via AMSAT-BB(a)amsat.org.
