    "content": "Sean,\n\nI'm not sure the receive band is a mandatory field, unless something\nrecently changed. Many of us have been using a PDF file written by\nJohn Barber N5JB to get our satellite QSOs into Logbook of the\nWorld. It has been available from the ARRL web site for a long time:\n\nhttp://www.arrl.org/files/file/LoTW%20Instructions/N5JB.pdf\n\nIn this PDF, only 7 fields are listed as mandatory to make a valid\nsatellite QSO record in LOTW:\n\nCALL\nQSO_DATE\nTIME_ON\nBAND\nMODE\nPROP_MODE\nSAT_NAME\n\nThe SAT_NAME field must be one of the satellites named on the\nLOTW FAQ page:\n\nhttps://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/frequently-asked-questions/#sats\n\n(By the way, who at ARRL should we ask to get Mir listed as a\nvalid satellite? I've been e-mailing and filing help desk tickets,\nbut nothing has ever been done with my requests)\n\nOptional fields that satellite QSOs could use include:\n\nFREQ\nBAND_RX\nFREQ_RX\n\nWhen I started to upload my satellite QSOs in 2011, I only used the\n7 mandatory fields for my QSOs.
