"content": "Hi All,\n\n \n\nThe Dayton Amateur Radio Association sponsored ARRL TI-2 Space will be\nconducted next week in Dayton from July 12 through 15. The purpose of this\nteachers institute is to instruct teachers on how to access satellites for\nuse in their classrooms. The four day institute will involve a lot of\non-the-air activity on the birds. I hope that you will listen up for the\nteachers who will be working the birds for the first time and help\nparticipate in the TI by making contacts with them. They will be novice\nsatellite operators so I hope you will forgive mistakes as they learn the\nropes. It will be interesting to see how 8 ground stations operate from one\nlocation! (The stations consist of FT817s, ARROWS and computer controlled\nG5500 rotors.)\n\n \n\nIf anyone needs a contact with W1AW/8, I will be using that call sign\nperiodically while doing some demonstrations during the TI. If you have a\nspecific request, let me know via e-mail and I'll listen for your call\nspecifically.\n\n \n\nCU on the birds and I appreciate your patience during this TI.\n\n \n\nMark\n\n \n\nMark Spencer, WA8SME\n\nEducation and Technology Program Coordinator\n\nARRL, the national association for Amateur RadioT\n\[email protected]\n\nwww.arrl.org/education-technology-program\n\nwww.arrl.org/teachers-institute-on-wireless-technology\n\n530-495-9150\n\n \n\n",
