"content": "Hi Brad!\n\nHave you used the DXPatrol receiver for working amateur\nsatellites? I haven't worked anyone who has used it for the\ndownlink side of their station, nor have I tried one, so\nI didn't list it in my earlier message. Besides the FUNcube\nDongle Pro+ and various SDRplay receivers I mentioned in\nmy earlier e-mail, I have also tried some of the RTL dongles\nin my satellite station. They were no good - no front-end\nfiltering, and they stopped receiving whenever I transmitted\nwith an HT or FT-817 on a different band than where I was\nreceiving. That's why I first went with a FUNcube dongle,\nand later on the SDRplay units.\n\nI went to the DXPatrol web site and downloaded its PDF\nmanual. It looks like an RTL dongle with an upconverter\nfor its coverage below 25 MHz. Its price is a little less\nthan the SDRplay RSP1A sold by HRO.\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\nTwitter: @WD9EWK or http://twitter.com/WD9EWK\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Wed, Jan 10, 2018 at 10:27 PM, Brad Brooks <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> Also, the DXPatrol Mk4 is an option.
