SBMS, SVHFS and FLWSS are some I am aware of.\nThe technology for microwave experimentation is as older than  ARRL itself. J.C. Bose 60 GHz experiments in the 1890s.\n\nI guess what I am saying is that there is no big leap to build or acquire microwave gear suitable for satellites.
