I'm retiring my Icom IC-W32A which is one of the few\ndual-band full-duplex HTs ever made.\n\nMine is in great shape, having always been inside the custom Icom vinyl\ncase and actually quite lightly used. I just had the power out checked on a\nBird wattmeter and it showed 4.5 watts on both bands with the internal\nbattery for power. I THINK it may go slightly higher on external 12VDC but\ndidn't check it. As for power options, I have the Yaesu BC-110A AC\nadapter, the Yaesu CP-12 car charger, a 12 VDC cord with Powerpoles, and\nthe Yaesu BP-170 battery case for alkalines/whatever. The internal battery\nis virtually new with maybe 5 charge/discharge cycles on it. At 1000 mAh,\nit's higher rated than the original BP-173 which only had a 650 mAh rating.\n\nThe ONLY problem I know of with this radio is that the internal\nspeaker output is low and slightly distorted. But it works perfectly loud\nand clear with the external speaker/mic which I will of course include.\n\n The original antenna, instruction manual and even the original shipping\nbox are also included.\n\nAs for pricing, I see several recent sales on eBay at $200-plus. I also\nsee some for sale there around $100 but they are \"for parts\", or \"as-is\" or\nhave no/few accessories, old batteries, etc. SO, I'd like to see this rig\nget some use as a satellite station and I'd sell it for $175 including\nshipping.\n\nLet me know if you are interested and I can send some pictures or more info.\n\n BTW, if you DO buy the W32, note that it has only one antenna output so if\nyou get an Arrow antenna (I love mine!) or similar, be sure to get the one\nwith built-in duplexer. I'd sell you that as well, but we use it in a\nportable setup with the 9700 at Field Day to get that 100-point satellite\ncontact bonus for the local club.\n\n73,\nBarry K6RM\n\n\n", "attachments": [ { "email": "https://mailman.amsat.org/hyperkitty/api/list/[email protected]/email/7ALTFRCORMBGME3K7OP3GW2GMLTRWVT4/", "counter": 2, "name": "attachment.html", "content_type": "text/html", "encoding": "utf-8", "size": 2182, "download": "https://mailman.amsat.org/hyperkitty/list/[email protected]/message/7ALTFRCORMBGME3K7OP3GW2GMLTRWVT4/attachment/2/attachment.html" } ] }
