The article presents measured results of adding a screen surface, \nadding baffles, and using a newly design horn feed to 39\" by 24\" barbeque \ndish. If your antenna is down for modifications, I would highly recommend \nthe article. Each step was a significant improvement. He reported the Sun \nnoise increase with a dipole feed increased from 1.5 dB for the stock dish \nand feed to 1.9 dB by adding the aluminum foil. Screen wire should produce \nsimilar results.\n\nJohn WA4WDL\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Bill Booth\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Friday, November 17, 2006 5:11 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] 1.2GHz and K5GNA BBQ Ant ??\n\n\n> Mark Brueggemann K5LXP recently inquired about a 1.2GHz antenna but\n> mentioned he had a K5GNA barbecue dish and converter.
