"content": "Thanks to everyone who took time to call in to W1AW/9 over the past week\nwhile we were operating from Illinois. I had a great time and got to chat\nwith a lot of the 'regulars' and some new folks as well.\n\n \n\nContacts were made on AO-7 (mode B only), FO-29, SO-50, AO-73 and the ISS\npacket repeater. A total of 225 contacts are in the log, with some stations\nworking W1AW/9 - IL several times on different satellites, passes, and modes\n(which is great!). Somewhere around 100 unique call signs were logged,\nfinal count is not yet done.\n\n \n\nQSL's will be handled by the ARRL, with Logbook of the World being the\npreferred method of submitting requests. Here is the link to ARRL\nCentennial QSO party QSL information:\n\n \n\nhttp://www.arrl.org/centennial-qso-party\n\n \n\nBe sure that you log the contact information in the correct format.\nSatellite QSO's require additional information which is not required for\nterrestrial QSO's. N5JB wrote up the instructions for using LOTW to confirm\nsatellite QSO's. I have followed his advice and it does work with LOTW.\nHere's the link\n\n \n\nhttp://www.arrl.org/files/file/LoTW%20Instructions/N5JB.pdf\n\n \n\nISS keyboard contacts with W1AW-9 should be logged with:\n\n \n\nQSO mode = Pkt *\n\nTx band = 2 meters *\n\nPropagation mode = Satellite *\n\nSatellite name = ARISS *\n\nSatellite mode = <blank> \n\n \n\nThe fields with (*) MUST match or you will not get credit for the QSO.\nSatellite mode is not a required field, I leave it blank because it's\nredundant. \n\n \n\nThanks again!\n\n \n\nGrant Zehr AA9LC\n\n(ex-W1AW/9 - IL)\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n",
