Discord has it’s flaws, but it is a more private system, without all the infiltration of cat videos and horrid politics.\n\n \n\nFrom: Mark Johns, K0JM via AMSAT-BB <[email protected]> \nSent: Saturday, August 5, 2023 7:04 AM\nTo: Clint Bradford <[email protected]>\nCc: AMSAT BB <[email protected]>\nSubject: [AMSAT-BB] Re: Spreading the Word\n\n \n\nClint, a team of hard-working volunteers collects and disseminates the news you are seeking.\n\n \n\nThe AMSAT News Service (ANS) provides the best weekly summary of all things related to amateur radio in space. It comes out at 0000z each Sunday (Saturday evening in North America) and can be found on the AMSAT website, https://www.amsat.org, if you just scroll down a little bit from the top. You can also subscribe directly (and manage all of your AMSAT-NA mailing list preferences) at <https://mailman.amsat.org> https://mailman.amsat.org. Or, it will show up here in the -bb within the hour after posting.\n\n \n\nSpecial ANS bulletins are posted mid-week whenever news of sufficient import warrants it.\n\n \n\nThe archive of past issues of the weekly and special ANS bulletins can be reached through the AMSAT website, https://www.amsat.org, from the pull-down on the \"Services\" tab.\n\n \n\nFor grid hunters looking for rovers, ANS reports the updates from AMSAT rover coordinator Ian Parsons, K5ZM, which can also be found on https://www.amsat.org under the \"Satellite Info\" tab. Yes it's true that many rovers are still using X (the social media formerly known as Twitter) for more up-to-date info. But more and more rovers are posting their activities in greater detail at https://hams.at, a project by Rockwell Schrock, WW1X.\n\n--\n\nMark D. How do we BEST spread the info to satellite enthusiasts? How do we disseminate ARISS, AMSAT, and other \"sources\" to the 'Net?\n\nAny ideas? I don't think I'm making a big deal out of nothing. I really want relevant information available to the largest audience with minimal effort on their end.\n\nClint K6LCS\n\n(1) - Clint is not a healthcare professional, but has two cardiologists who will attest to this.\n\n(2) - Almost any member over there will tell you that it's become more chaotic, unorganized, and downright offensive the past 12 months.\n\n\n\nSent from my iPhone\n\n-----------------------------------------------------------\n\nSent via AMSAT-BB(a)amsat.org <http://amsat.org> .
