"content": "The more expensive \"mast mounted\" versions\n(MSP432VDG-160, $240 and MSP432VDG-25, $190) come with\na power connector, but the RF switched SP432VDG, $120\n(25w rating) does not. You have to solder or clip the\nwire for the +13vdc to the top of a feedthrough, and\nthe wire for the -13vdc to a solder lug attached to a\nscrew on the chassis. Yes, a bit crude. See\nhttp://www.advancedreceiver.com/page37.html\n\nBy the way, the \"RF switched\" preamps come standard\nwith BNC connectors. You can buy them with N\nconnectors for an extra $10, but they will not sell\nthem with UHF connectors (SO-239). The \"mast mounted\"\nversions come standard with N connectors.\n\n73, Bill NZ5N\n\n>>Hi Bob,\n\nThe Advanced Receiver pre-amp that I purchased\n(MSP432VDG-160) came with the \npower connector. You will need to solder the wires to\nthe connector. I found \nsome old RG-58 that I used to run the power to it.\n\nVery nice pre-amp by the way.\n\n73, Jeff\nK7WIN\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Monday, March 31, 2008 8:04 AM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] ARR pre amp Query\n>I am thinking aobut ordering an ARR pre amp for\n432,,, I see the pin for \n>12V DC,,, what type of connector does this take, or\ndo you have to solder \n>the? wire to the pin?
