"content": "Hi Ed,\n\nYou would do a lot better if you bought an Arrow II antenna.\nI just don't think any single element antenna will give you enough\ngain to receive, much less transmit. You don't want to be\nthe guy calling CQ CQ CQ who can't hear the many responses,\nand is finally ignored.\n\nGet the one with the built-in duplexer for use with an HT. \nhttp://www.arrowantennas.com/146-437.html\nYou'll probably need a cable, too. Not sure who sells them.\nProbably Arrow, or make your own from connectors.\n\nI have absolutely no financial or personal interest with this\ncompany. I have bought one 440 antenna from them and\nit is well built. If there are other similar antennas, fine. But\nget one that has both bands and enough gain to make a \ndifference.\n\nBob - AE6RV\n\n--- Ed Tump <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> Folks,\n> \n> The local ham store has this in stock: Pryme Radio Products AL-800\n> Telescoping HT Antenna.
