"content": "The rule reads \"7.3.7.1 Stations are limited to one (1) completed QSO on\nany single channel FM satellite\"\n\nThe absolute strict interpretation of this rule would mean that once you\nmake a single contact on an FM bird, you turn off the radio and walk\naway. If you don't, you'll get your hands slapped and lose your rubber\nducky.\n\nHowever, many people, probably most, interpreted the rule to mean that\none may claim no more than one completed QSO for credit. This\ninterpretation would not mean that one could not make more, it just\nmeans only one would be granted credit - the same as AMSAT Field Day\nrules did in past years. AMSAT FD's rule never prohibited making more\ncontacts but credit was given for only one.\n\nShould there be a more restrictive rule, perhaps instituting a penalty\nfor making more than one QSO? How would it be enforced? You'd have a\nbig fight on your hands. \n\nMy suggestion is: lighten up. The real problem was the guy playing\ntraffic cop, tying up the bird with unnecessary, malicious and\nunidentified transmissions, not the gentleman (and I mean that in the\nbest sense of the word) in Arizona working them like a seasoned\ncontester. \n\n\n73 de N8AU, Jim in Raymore, MO\n \nLight travels faster than sound...
