"content": "Dave,\n\nThanks for being up at that hour to work across\nthe pond on FO-29! It would be nice to see a bunch\nof European calls in the W7O satellite log.\n\nI'll be on AO-73 this (Friday) evening as W7O, for\nthe pass around 0458 UTC. On Saturday morning, I'll\nwork 3 passes before I get tied up with work-related\nstuff...\n\nSO-50 at 1422 UTC\nFO-29 at 1430 UTC\nAO-73 at 1651 UTC\n\n>From what I've heard, John K8YSE/7 made the first\nW7O satellite QSO this evening on SO-50 at 0011 UTC.\nChristy KB6LTY was on the W7O mic from southern\nCalifornia for that QSO. I know others have been\nworking HF as W7O, and I'm gaining operators and\nfilling more slots in the W7O HF schedule. Sounds\nlike there have been some interesting stories from\nstations working W7O, including some who worked the\nsatellite in its first lifetime in the 1970s.\n\nThanks to everyone who has volunteered to work as\nW7O, whether on the satellites or the HF bands.\nThe number of W7O lookups on QRZ was reset when I\nput the current information on there, and several\nhundred lookups have been recorded already. There\nis interest among the ham community in this old\nsatellite. :-)\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Sat, Nov 15, 2014 at 12:07 AM, Dave Webb KB1PVH <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> I will be on the 09:00 UTC FO-29 pass as W7O to give European stations a\n> chance to get it in the log.\n>\n> Dave-KB1PVH\n>\n> Sent from my Samsung S4\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
