Many of\nthe hams present may never have operated a satellite, and if shown\nthat they can get on the FM sats relatively easily, may give it a\ntry. There are typically dozens of people present besides the\nsatellite operator, at least a few of which express some interest. \n\n\tPeople who collect bonus points usually go for the public\nlocation/information table bonus as well, so you may be introducing\npossible future hams to satellite work.\n\n\tIf the argument is 'show me the data,' feel free to go collect it;\nthe published FD scores is a good starting point for reaching out to\nthe involved parties. Or you could fund a survey. \n\n\tIt seems silly to demand that outreach be justified for you;\nwithout it, you won't need those satellites anyway. Lack of outreach\nis a self correcting problem -- just add time, and there won't be any\nsatellites left.\n\n\t73,\n\n\tMajdi, N0RMZ\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
