"content": "\n\n\n\nNow Available: The TASS Computer-Controlled Switch System\n\nThe TASS (Totally\nAwesome Switch System) is a general purpose 8-port \nDC-150 MHz relay-based\nswitch. The hardware is designed to be very \ngeneric, with an inexpensive\nprocessor such as an Arduino providing the \nsystem logic. Control is via USB,\nwith Ethernet and other interfaces \nalso available.\n\nThe TASS can be configured\nseveral ways, and multiple boards can be \ncombined to create large switching\nsystems. The TASS has many uses, from \nswitching signal sources on a test bench\nor in a laboratory, to \nselecting receive antennas and filters in a ham or SWL\nstation.\n\nThe TASS system has two boards:\n\n* The TASS-R relay board, which does\nthe mechanics of signal switching \nand provides a very simple 10-pin\ninterface.\n\n* The TASS-SHIELD board for use with an Arduino Mega 2560\n\nmicrocontroller. The TASS-SHIELD allows up to four TASS-R boards to be\n\ncontrolled simultaneously.\n\nBoth boards are available now from TAPR as kits.\nThey use through-hole \nparts and don't require any special assembly\ntechniques.\n\nThe final component is open source software for the Arduino that\nacts as \nan interface between a host computer or other input system, and the\n\nswitching hardware. The software is available for download from TAPR.\n\nAn\nintroductory video is available at\nhttps://youtu.be/P-TUM2dOi4c\nor from TAPR\nat\nhttp://tapr.org/~n8ur/TASS/TASS_Intro_26Sep15.mp4\n\nSoftware and documentation\ncan be downloaded from\nhttp://tapr.org/~n8ur/TASS.\n\nYou may order the TASS-R and\nTASS-SHIELD boards by\nvisiting\nhttp://tapr.org/kits_tass.html\n_______________________________________________\n\n \n\n \n\n \n",
