Press the number of the phrase you wish to insert and it will paste it into the message text. Add anything else you want to the message (within character limits) and send. Easy least.\n\nPersonally I have these phrases stored, which are enough to cover a packet QSO:\n\n1: CQ De K7TEJ DM34\n2: K7TEJ DM33 R QSL?\n3: K7TEJ 73!\n\nI actually have the same set saved with different grids I operate from and a set with a field day exchange.\n\nHope this helps\n\nRick Tejera K7TEJ\nSaguaro Astronomy Club\nwww.SaguaroAstro.org\nThunderbird Amateur Radio Club\nwww.w7tbc.org\n\nOn June 5, 2018, at 20:23, [email protected] wrote:\n\nI am confused, which is not an uncommon thing. I have been wanting to try\r\nand figure out how to work Falxonsat-3 via my Kenwood D72a. I read Pat\r\nStoddard's AMSAT Journal article but he does not do a step by step per se.\r\nI also read KB6IGK and WD9EWKs other article on the same subject. Mention\r\nis made on setting \"User phrases\". Looking at several different D72 manuals,\r\nI cannot for the life of me, see how one selects the phrase to use and how\r\nthat gets into the string that is sent. I see the ability to set several\r\nphrases from inside RT systems D72 menu program (Not sure how those get\r\nentered in manual radio programming), nor do I see any instructions for\r\nsending). I watched a YouTube video of a guy making Falconst APRS contacts,\r\nbut no explanation on how he got the phrases out.\r\n\r\nWisdom please,\r\n\r\n73 and thanks for the patient mentoring.\r\n\r\nTom Schuessler, N5HYP\r\nEM12ms\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n_______________________________________________\r\nSent via [email protected].
