I used an Olympus recorder for \nquite a while with no problems. I hooked the speaker output of the radio \nthrough a \"Y\" connecter directly to my recorder and headphones. The first \nset of headphones that I used were of the \"noise blanking\" variety and were \nbattery powered. When I transmitted the rf would wreak havoc with them. I \nswitched to another set of standard headphones and that eliminated the \nproblem.\n\nChuck, KM9U\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Bill W1PA\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Friday, April 15, 2011 17:19\nSubject: [amsat-bb] RF Quiet my digital recorder\n\n\n>I am using an Olympus digital audio recorder for logging LEO passes,\n> because I can directly transfer a .wma to my PC from it (versus the\n> tape recorder I used in the 90's).\n>\n> I am using an extension clip-on mic.
