Where would the command station and robot be located? How much time would you need to command the robot each day? What mode would the commands be sent in (digital, audio, FM, SSB...).\n \nHope your project goes well.\n \nKenneth - N5VHO\n\n________________________________\n\nFrom: [email protected] on behalf of truckwiz\nSent: Sat 11/24/2007 5:49 AM\nTo: 'Jeremy Ramirez'; [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: new to amsat\n\n\n\nMy goal is to be able to control a robot from a satellite, I'm with a group\nthat is trying to compete in the lunar X prize, here's a video of our\nearthbound test rover. You need to have a amateur radio license for the bands you wish to\nwork, specifically the \"uplinks\". For example if you wanted to work some of\nthe LEO satellites like AO-51, SO-50, etc. you need at least a \"technician\"\nclass license. Take a look at ARRL's information as to what bands you can\noperate with which license (see:\nhttp://www.arrl.org/FandES/field/regulations/bands.html).\n\nInformation about the amateur satellites in operation can be found at\nwww.amsat.org.\n\nNext question? :-)\n\n Jeremy\n KB9QIC\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of truckwiz\nSent: Friday, November 23, 2007 8:59 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] new to amsat\n\nHi,\n\n This will be the first of probably 1000 questions. Do I need licenses to\nwork with amsat satellites?\n\n\n\nThanks, Brian\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
