"content": "Excellent 19 deg pass over VK/ZL at 2138 UTC. Very strong downlink signals\nup to 60db over S9 for most of the pass. Could hold the transponder in at\nless than 1 deg.\nWorked Graham (VK2AYE) and no problems using the recommended technique.\n\nAlan\nZL2BX\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Jan-Albert Koekemoer\nSent: Friday, 6 November 2009 20:59\nTo: [email protected]\nCc: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] SA-AMSAT payload activation on SO-67\n\nHello \n\n\nWe intend to schedule the FM V/U cross-band repeater on Sumbandila as\nfollows\n(all times in UTC; all activations 13 minutes duration): \n\nFri 6 Nov 2009:\n21:38 (Eastern Australia / New Zealand)\n\nSa 7 Nov 2009:\n02:05 (Western Asia)\n08:17 (Europe)\n11:40 (Eastern part of South America)\n16:13 (Central Canada / USA)\n\nThe CTCSS tone for the transponder is 233.6 Hz. \n\nUplink: 145.875MHz \nDownlink: 435.345MHz \n\nAdditional recommendations: \nUse only narrow FM \nSwitch off compression \nSpeak softly (mic gain down) \n\nSatellite characteristics: \nAll antennas are linear vertically polarized (1/4 wavelength) \nSat Tx power = 5W \nSat Rx sensitivity = -116.5dBm for 12dB SINAD \nMax antenna gain = 4dBi \n\nNote that the satellite is currently in a controlled sun tracking mode with\nantennas Nadir pointing.\n\nApologies for the late notification, but we're still in the commissioning\nphase and can therefore not guarantee the SA-AMSAT payload service far ahead\nin time. Since we're using the same (shared) transponder for TT&C purposes\nat present, we can unfortunately not schedule the payload over RSA on\nSaturday.\n\nRegards \nJan-Albert (ZR1JAK)\nSumbandila Ground Control Team\n\n\n\nE-mail Disclaimer\nhttp://www.sunspace.co.za/emaildisclaimer.htm\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
