"content": "Jim,\n\nI'm not an expert (I moved away from the DC area in 1969), but here is a little information to get you started.\n\n1. Dulles to BWI (Baltimore-Washington International) airport (copied from a longer post) --\n\nCheapest:\nDC Metrobus from Dulles to L'Enfant Plaza station. This bus is a little hard to find, it stops at the first island away from the curb, on the ground level, near the left end of the airport as you face it from outside. There are some \"Metrobus\" signs around, just follow them or ask someone who works there.\nWhen you get to L'Enfant Plaza, go into the Metro (subway train) and ride to Greenbelt station.\nThen take the DC Metrobus to BWI airport.\nTotal cost about $8. Trip duration: 2.5 hours.\n\nFastest: \nTaxi. Total cost about $80. Trip duration: 1 hour.\n\nSee: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?messageID=13902716&tstart=0\n\n\n2. Portland, MA? For the U.S. Postal Service, the abbreviation for State of Massachusetts is \"MA\" and for State of Maine is \"ME\". The airline code for the Portland, Maine airport is PWM.\n\nAssuming you're going to Maine, both AirTran Airways and US Airways offer non-stop service to Portland from BWI.\n\n\nI'll let someone with recent knowledge of Baltimore help you with the Crypto museum.\n\nHopefully this information will get you going. With a little luck, I'll see you at the Symposium. \n\n73, Steve N9IP\n--\nSteve Belter\[email protected]\n\n> -----Original Message-----\n> From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\n> Behalf Of Jim Heck\n> Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 3:51 AM\n> To: [email protected]\n> Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: AMSAT Symposium Breaking News: Low Cost Airfares\n> \n> Hi Folks,\n> \n> I will be booking my transatlantic flight over the next couple of days,\n> and have a\n> few questions. How far/whats the best way to get from the hotel to the Crypto museum?\n> \n> My email to the hotel bounced, and their web page about local\n> transportation isnt\n> very helpful - not that I'm complaining - oh, maybe I can, the hotel isnt\n> a\n> volunteer, I guess ;-)\n> \n> 73s\n> Jim G3WGM\n> \n\n",
