My radio was in \nPKT mode and I set the PKT Rate menu option to 9600.\n\nIt's important to follow the manual and connect to the 9600 bps pin on the Data \nconnector and not the 1200 bps pin. The 1200 bps signal is the processed audio \nafter filtering, where as the 9600 bps signal comes right off the radio's \ndiscriminator.
