Before I purchased one I was told by several people\non here that it wasn't full-duplex, one of them that owned one wasn't sure.\nI called Icom and was told by them that it wasn't. Before I bought mine I\ntested it and guess what, it was full-duplex. This operating parameter , so\nuseful to sat operators isn't even mentioned in the manual that Icom\nsupplies with the 2820. I replaced my aging D-700 with the 2820, and a\nKenwood 710 control head. Now I have a sat user friendly full-duplex, DSTAR\ncapable mobile, that will also transmit and receive APRS(using the built in\nGPS) and regular packets. \n\n73 Jeff kb2m\n\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of D.
