    "content": "Gary,\n\nDo you have a FC-20 auto tuner attached?  If so, remove the FC-20 connector,\nand turn the rig off and back on.  The auto tuner and CAT port use the same\ncircuitry and are, with some caveats, incompatible.\n\nSome _very_ early models did not have a bi-directional CAT port, which would\ncertainly cause a problem with a CAT program, and possibly with a cloning\nprogram expecting a bi-directional port.\n\nYou seem to have eliminated all the usual cable and port configuration\nglitches.\n\n73s,\n\nAlan\nWA4SCA\n\n\n\n",
