"content": "Ollie,\n\nI have used Stuf since the 90's when I was doing Satellite TV installations ie. BUD dishes. It works very well. The only thing the paste is very slippery like Teflon, so once a connector is filled with Stuf and tightened, one must wipe off the excess with a towel or paper towel otherwise black tape or Coaxseal will not stick to the connector. Stuf is used to fill the air gaps in connector once mounted.\n\nIn all the years that I used it along with black tape and Coaxseal, I have never had a connector go bad on me or corrode. Keep in mind satellite signals coming down the RG6 can be in the Ghz range and also supply voltage to the LNB.\n\nI have never tried it on ham radio antennas as I am \"locationally\" challenged: ie. apartment. \n\nHope this helps. If you have further questions feel free to write me offline.\n\n73, Adrian AA5UK\n\n\n\n\n________________________________\nFrom: Ollie Eisman <[email protected]>\nTo: [email protected]\nSent: Tue, June 8, 2010 11:22:35 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Cross Devices Stuf\n\nHas anyone used \"Stuf\" from Cross Devices to waterproof RF connectors (with or without with coax seal)? It seems like a good idea but I wonder how well it works in real life.\n\nhttp://www.crossdevices.com/\n\n73,\nOllie AJ1O\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
