The Yaesu G-5500\nstopped rotating. The weather kept me from bringing the tower down but\nfinally the winds subsided, tower down, rotor removed and trouble shooting\nbegan. Now with my schedule completely cleared I could concentrate on the\nproblem. The soft brake that Yaesu uses in the design was hanging up with\nthe spring edge on top of the butterfly (if you have ever looked at the\n5500 brake mechanism, you know what I mean.
