    "content": "Enzo,\nUse the idea of switching the wires before you do any disassembly\ninstructions.\nUse the simplest of tests first.  There is an age old theory of Keep It\nSimple Stupid (KISS) and this\nAdage can be used in any testing theories. Some time ago, my G-5500 did the\nsame thing.  The failure was in a phase shift capacitor used by the motor.\nWithout the capacitor, the motor did not have enough torque to move the\nelevation down.  Fortunately, at least according to the schematic, that\ncapacitor is in the control box with the G-5400.  (It is in the rotator in\nthe G-5500.)
