Many friends were made via satellite!\n Has anything been heard from AO-10 lately? I knew it went\ninto sleep mode for a long rest, but it would just show up again without notice.\nMy satellite antennas are down, and I can't listen for it :(\n Floyd, AO-40 was used by many during it's short life. I have at least\n50 DXCC confirmed from AO-40 QSO's! I just wonder what it would have been like,\nsince more DX Peditions were inclined to take along a small dish and yagi,\nand be able to work DX via satellite.\n Mike, I remember the AO-40 - 24 GHz QSO's from the parking lot of Dayton Hamvention,\nthey were a blast! Thank You for the 10 GHz terrestrial QSO last Summer too!\nI hope we can break a record on 24 GHz this summer! Please e-mail me when the time\ngets closer.\n Clare, it was very nice to see the calls you mentioned in your post.\nI often wonder about many of the operators that we worked.\nI hope they are all well.\n\n73\nde KB8VAO, Steve\n\n-----Original Message-----\n>From: [email protected]\n>Sent: Feb 4, 2011 7:16 AM\n>To: amsat-bb <[email protected]>\n>Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: AO40 contacts\n>\n>Those were fun days Clare!\n>\n>My most challenging contacts were made using K band (24 GHz down).
