I know that during the upcoming \nField Day, participants are being encouraged to limit themselves to one\ncontact on SO-50 or to use the linear birds when possible.\n\nI'm chasing grid squares towards Satellite VUCC and other awards. Is it \nacceptable and good operating practice for my station to make multiple \ncontacts during\nFD on the linear birds? Seems like a great chance to pick up grids that \nwould otherwise not be active on the birds, but I don't want to be a LID.\n\nWhat would be the best practice for an operator like myself during FD? I \nwon't otherwise be participating in the contest. Again, my thanks for \nthe advice\nand counsel of more experienced operators. Everyone on the birds has \nbeen great and helpful so far, especially K4FEG!\n\n\n-- \n73,\n\nLes Rayburn, N1LF\n121 Mayfair Park\nMaylene, AL 35114\nEM63nf\n\n6M VUCC #1712\nAMSAT #38965\nGrid Bandits #222\nSoutheastern VHF Society\nCentral States VHF Society Life Member\nSix Club #2484\n\nActive on 6 Meters thru 1296, 10GHz & Light\n\n", "attachments": [] }
