    "content": "Audio for the SO-67 eastern USA pass on 21Nov09\nis on my webserver:\n\nhttp://www.papays.com/SO-67_21Nov2009_143116z.mp3\n\nNow that it is understood that there is a 3 second\ntail after each transmission and audio will cut off\nafter that time has expired, ways to get around the\nproblem can be devised.\n\nI found that when called by another station, if you start\ntransmitting before that station releases their transmitter,\nyou will be able to answer and not be cut off after 3 seconds.\nThis is because the \"tail\" never started.  However, if this\ncontinuous transmission goes on for 30(?) seconds, the next\ntimer will shut down the transmitter.  Waiting for the tail\nto expire, when the bird is over the USA with many stations\ntrying to get in, will not work.  There will always be someone\nwho keys up during the 3 second tail.\n\nSignals were loud as usual right down to the horizon.  The extra\ntransmitter power will enable many new users to get on this bird.\nThanks to all of those who had a part in launching this satellite!\n\n73,\nJohn K8YSE\n\n\n\n",
