The Radio Amateur\nSatellite Corporation (AMSAT) was again included in the approvals.\n\nThe CFC, or Combined Federal Campaign, is the U.S. Government equivalent\nOf the United Way in the private sector. The campaign affords all US\nGovernment employees the opportunity to make donations from their regular\npaychecks to CFC approved Charities.\n\nAMSAT has again successfully applied to CFC for that status and is grate-\nful for the approval. This stamp of approval means that AMSAT has met the\nstrict standards set by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM)\nassuring donors that AMSAT's programs of work and financial operational\nstandards meet the CFC requirements.\n\nThose AMSAT supporters who wish to make payroll contributions should\nselect the Radio Amateur satellite Corporation (AMSAT) during their\ncampaign this coming fall. The AMSAT CFC Charity number is 10158. Payroll\ndeduction is a simple, convenient way to support AMSAT.\n\nGunther Meisse W8GSM\nTreasurer, AMSAT North America\n\n[ANS thanks Bunther, W8GSM, for the above information]\n\n/EX\n\n\nSB SAT @ AMSAT $ANS-174.02\n9 Cubesats on Maiden Vega Launch\n\nAMSAT News Service Bulletin 174.02\n From AMSAT HQ SILVER SPRING, MD.\nJune 22, 2008\nTo All RADIO AMATEURS\nBID: $ANS-174.02\n\nCubesats built by students from universities in Poland Spain Italy\nSwitzerland Romania France and Belgium have been selected for a free \nride to low\nearth orbit.
