    "content": "\nHello All,\n\nI ran into an old friend this morning.  He is someone I Elmered into his\ngeneral class a few years back.  He has been inactive for some time but\ngave me the indication he'd like to get back on the air.  One problem....\n He has let his license expire.  I have personally been away from the VE\nProgram for a long time as well and I don't know, considering all the\nrecent changes, if there is a \"grace period\" or must he retest?  \n\nThanks for any info and please excuse the use of the BB when it's not\nfully satellite related.  This young man was interested in sats when he\nfirst was licensed so perhaps if we can get him back we'll gain a new\nAMSAT member.  I can hope can't I?
